Somewhere between Groundhog Day and Valentines

Between Groundhog’s Day and Valentine's Day, Over The Rainbow Memorials launches our new website! We are getting the ball rolling with our blog, and decided to kick it off with this post!

This blog is dedicated to those special souls who made an impression on us. Those who gave us their love while they were here on earth, and about the ways we celebrate, grieve, honor, and stay connected to them.  We want this to be a place to share stories on how we survive the heartbreak of losing a child, or starting over after your spouse passes away, or the ache of saying goodbye to your pet. This can be a place to share stories of how a recipe or a smell reminds you of a parent or grandparent, or how holidays take on different meaning after losing someone you love. We might even just talk about jewelry.

The list of things we can talk about goes on and on. That’s what friends do! We talk, we share, and we care about each other. Many of you know how hard it is to lose someone you love. Do you have any advice, thoughts or stories that might help someone else who’s struggling with the these same feelings? We would love it if you would share thoughts on this topic. Send us your ideas. You never know who, or how it is going to help someone, someday.

What do you think of these new “Doodle Hearts?” If you leave a comment at the bottom of this blog you will be added to the drawing of the Doodle Hearts to be given away at the end of the month. (ashes are not included in these :-)

Thank you for being a part of this inaugural Over The Rainbow Memorials blog post. Let’s try to get together again in about a month, how does that sound? A little bit goes a long way.
