Catching the Light: The Seasons of Love in Living Glass

There’s a specific kind of magic that happens in a Montana studio when the morning sun hits the glass just right. Recently, I came across this beautiful image of two German Shepherds—one a vibrant puppy and the other a soulful senior—and it stopped me in my tracks.

It immediately made me think of my own girls, Daisy (my Golden Retriever) and Pearl (my Yellow Lab). As anyone with a "heart dog" knows, the transition from those zoomie-filled puppy days to the quiet, golden years happens in the blink of an eye. In the Flathead Valley, where life moves with the seasons, these moments are so incredibly precious.

26 Years at the Torch, 20 Years of Montana Memories

I’ve been blowing glass for 26 years, but it was 20 years ago, right here in Montana, that my work found its true purpose. I realized that glass wasn't just art—it was a vessel. It could hold the light of a life lived and turn a moment of loss into a daily reminder of love.

That realization is what started Over the Rainbow Memorials, and it’s what continues to drive every piece I create today.

Our New Front Door: Living Glass Memorials

As we celebrate two decades of creating Montana pet memorials, I wanted to make it even easier for our community to find us. Whether you’ve known Daisy, Pearl, and me for years as Over the Rainbow, or you’re just finding us today, I’d love to welcome you to our new digital home:

This new "front door" is designed to showcase the full beauty of the Living Glass™ Collection. From our signature Trillium Traveler Suncatchers to custom infused tributes, every piece is still handcrafted with the same artisan care in our Whitefish studio.

Hold Onto the Light

Whether I'm watching the sun hit the glass in the studio or playing in the yard with Daisy and Pearl, I'm reminded that while time moves fast, love is enduring. Our mission hasn't changed in 20 years: we help you catch that light and keep it in your home forever.
